Your job is to escape the madness by solving puzzles, overcoming hurdles, and making it to the end as one using unique mechanics and chaotic teamwork.
Featuring absurd co-op gameplay, surreal worlds, and plenty of unexpected and shareable moments, this is a platforming experience where your greatest obstacle is the person playing next to you.
Shared Control
One player navigates with the upper body, the other controls movement with the lower body.

My Role & Contributions
I worked as the Lead Programmer (elected by my teammates) on Fail Apart, built in Unreal Engine 5.6.1 using C++ and Blueprint.
I was mainly responsible for the player systems, including the split/merge character architecture, movement, physics interactions, animation-driven mechanics, and input routing (keyboard, single-gamepad, and dual local co-op support).
Additionally, I extended systems started by teammates, including rope climbing, wall climbing, and the kick mechanic, and contributed across the broader codebase through code review and pair debugging.
In the meantime, I collaborated with the team using Git/GitHub for version control and Jira for task tracking.
This project was the 3rd Game Project of my Game Programming course at Futuregames Warsaw. It took 8 weeks in total and out of 12 groups of 12-13 people each, Fail Apart was selected as 1st place on Futuregames Warsaw's Jury Day.
