Nana: Into The Banana
A fast, chaotic, skill-based challenge, wrapped in bright yellow insanity. It’s easy to start, hard to survive.
Duration: 4 weeks
1st Place - Futuregames Warsaw Jury Day
Dodge, Dive, Bomb, Boomerang, and leave a trail of destruction as you dive deeper into banana madness. You will die. A lot. And you’ll love it.
Defeat enemies to gain XP.
Once you collect enough XP, you’re ready to evolve but it won’t happen automatically.
Listen carefully.
Somewhere on the map, a strange radio begins playing odd music. Find it.
Step into the Radio Area and survive for 15 seconds while enemies swarm you. Leave the area, and the evolution fails.
Complete the ritual to evolve.
Repeat the process. Grow stronger. Fight harder. Survive longer.
Evolve again and again until you reach your final form, the Full Banana State.
Ascend and become a BANANA!
My Role & Contributions
I worked as a Gameplay Programmer on Nana: Into The Banana, built in Unity with C#. I was mainly responsible for character movement and the character evolution system.
Additionally, I made adjustments across other systems like combat, weapons, enemy AI, and the XP/skill tree systems.
In the meanwhile, I collaborated with the team using Git/GitHub for version control and Jira for task tracking.
This project was the second Game Project of my Game Programming course at Futuregames Warsaw. Out of 12 groups of 12-13 people each, Nana: Into The Banana was selected as 1st place.
